Turkish Protests Documented through Instagram
On May 31, three days after demonstrators set up camp in Istanbul’s Gezi Park to protest the development of a new shopping mall, police dispersed the crowd with water cannons and tear gas, setting off the most significant wave of protests in Turkey’s recent history.

Mailbox, el cliente de correo para iOS con lista de espera.
Este fin de semana por fin se ha desbloqueado la aplicación de correo electrónico @mailbox. La verdad es que vi el ruido que estaba generando en Twitter y decidí apuntarme con no muchas expectativas, pues por regla general, a más ruido, mayor el chasco… Pero en este caso y tras durante varias semanas, se me habilitó y enseguida fui a cacharrera y configurar la aplicación.
La aplicación MailBox es un cliente de correo electrónico gratuito (por ahora) que se configura sólo con cuentas de Gmail pero tiene unas prestaciones que no he encontrado en otros clientes de correo. Una de las diferencias fundamentales es que tienes un sistema por el cual puedes configurar un correo para “leerlo más tarde“… ¿Cuántas veces hemos dicho “voy a responder este correo por la tarde o durante el fin de semana”? Con este cliente podemos hasta configurar la hora y el día, por la tarde, etc. Genial!
Otras de las prestaciones que nos ofrece Mailbox es poder listar nuestros correos electrónicos, para leer, para ver o “comprar”, y todo ellos con sencillos gestos con el dedo. Si deslizas a la izquierda hasta la mitad de la pantalla aproximadamente, estableces cuándo quieres leer el correo y si desplazas hasta el mismo borde izquierdo, listas el mail que tengas seleccionado. Por el contrario, si desplazas a la derecha, lo das por leído y desplazas hasta el borde, lo borras directamente. Lógicamente, si haces click en él, abres el correo. En estas imágenes te lo muestro:
Después de utilizarlo con varias cuentas de Gmail puedo decir que va a sustituir a la clásica “Mail” de mi Iphone. Además, guarda las conversaciones, y funciona de forma más rápida en las notificaciones y a la hora de chequear las cuentas.
Una de las prestaciones que harían de Mailbox un cliente perfecto, sería poder configurar cuentas POP o IMAP… mientras tanto, esperaremos actualizaciones o que la compre una de las grandes (Apple, Microsoft, Google…)
